The installer places the plugins in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 (or, without admin rights, in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Common\VST3 — both official VST3 search paths). Then run a plugin rescan in your DAW:

• FL Studio: Options → Manage plugins → Start scan
• Ableton Live: Options → Plug-ins → Rescan
• Other DAWs: check the VST3 path in the plugin manager and rescan

Yes — every plugin also installs as a self-contained app (Standalone) and shows up in the Start menu. On first launch, pick your sound card and input under Options → Audio/MIDI Settings. Handy for quick experiments or live situations without a DAW.

You can see the installed version in the bottom left of every plugin and in the gear menu. New versions appear on the downloads page — just run the new setup over your existing installation; presets and settings are preserved.

Suite installation: Windows Settings → Apps → "AySound Suite" → Uninstall. ZIP installation: delete the respective .vst3 folder from C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. Your own presets and settings under %APPDATA%\AySound are kept — if you want those gone too, delete that folder by hand.

a/b holds two settings snapshots for quick comparison — dial in a sound, switch to b, dial in another, and flip back and forth. The arrows are undo/redo for parameter changes. The ? enables help mode: hover over any control and you get a short explanation right inside the plugin.

Yes — drag the bottom-right corner, continuously from 75% to 200%. Every plugin remembers its size and opens next time exactly the way you left it — in every project and every DAW. The gear menu also offers fixed sizes (100/125/150/200%).

Your own presets live as individual files under %APPDATA%\AySound\<PluginName>\Presets. To back up or share them, just copy the .aypreset files — drop them into the same folder on the target machine and you're done. The factory presets (15–20 per plugin) are built into the plugin and can't get lost. The Save button in the preset browser stores the current sound under a name of your choice; Delete removes your own presets (factory presets are protected).

Some plugins use lookahead or oversampling and therefore have a small, constant latency (e.g. limiter, clipper, gate, saturator). It is reported precisely to the DAW, which compensates automatically — you don't have to do a thing, all tracks stay in sync. The exact latency in samples is shown in each plugin's gear menu.

Very low — the plugins are deliberately lightweight and happily run many instances per project. Oversampling costs the most processing power (AyClipper "4x", AySaturator): if you're working on weaker hardware, you can switch it off in the plugin. The interfaces are optimized too and only redraw when something changes.

No. The installers aren't commercially signed (the certificate costs several hundred euros a year), so SmartScreen shows a warning on first launch: "More info" → "Run anyway". The downloads page provides SHA-256 checksums so you can verify every file.
